RIVERSIDE POLY BEARS BASKETBALL
VARSITY PLAYER PROFILES
JD Builteman: The 6' 2" senior forward returns for his third season on the varsity squad. He will need to continue to provide the scoring punch Poly will need to compete in the Inland Valley League.
Jon Slater: The 5' 10" shooting guard will be playing his first season on varsity.
Tyler Simmons: The 5" 10" point guard returns for his third season of Varsity action. For the Bears to be successful this year, the junior guard will need to show improved leadership and the ability to distribute to his teammates. Tyler's quickness is a big plus for the Bears.
Zach Calderon: The 6' 2" Guard/Forward returns for his third season with the Bears Varsity. Zach's ability to slash and get to the foul line will be needed by the Bears to put points on the board. When Poly goes "small" Zach will move to the "3."
Jacob Cockerham: This will be the 6' 5" juniors third season with varsity playing in the forward and center positions.
Juan Eason: The 6" 1" forward returns for his final season of Varsity action. The versatile forward has the ability to knock down the three and get to the hole as well. Juan will need to stay out of foul trouble and on the court where his offense can help Poly win this season.
Ryan Lawson: Ryan is entering his final season with the Bear Varsity. The 6' 2" guard had an injury plagued sophomore campaign. HIs ability to bounce back was an example of mental and physical toughness. Poly will need this grit when it is crunch time.
Coedy "Big Country" Lang: The 6' 6" junior center is back for season three with the Poly Varsity. Coedy will need to be a defensive presence and anchor the Bear defense. He will need to continue to improve his post moves to become an effective scorer.
Drew Wills : This is the 6' 2" senior forward's second season with the Bears varsity. Drew will be needed for his rebounding ability and three point shooting.
Terrel Brown: The 6' 0" guard will need to bring his offensive game to help Poly this season.
